Corporate Membership

Corporate Membership is open to dealers, auctioneers, restorers and others working professionally with eighteenth-century English furniture. The principal aims of the Society, which is a registered charity, are described on other pages of this website, particularly the Home and About pages. By becoming a Corporate Member you would be supporting its charitable work, which includes the running of two websites. This site is for and about the Society and its members, but also contains news relevant to Chippendale furniture, and the other is an educational site aimed primarily at children and schools but which also has features of interest to adults.

Corporate Membership costs £50 per year. In 2015-16 we upgraded our websites, and we hope that you find them stimulating and useful. In 2018 we mounted an exhibition of Thomas Chippendale’s life and work, and organised the Chippendale 300 programme of events to celebrate the tercentenary of his birth. Naturally these projects cost money, and one way you can help us to pay for them is to become a Corporate Member of the Society.

On joining in this category, you will receive a copy of the catalogue of the Society’s collection and will regularly receive two print copies of the Newsletter, usually published three times a year, giving news of the Society’s activities and, more generally, about matters relevant to Chippendale and his period. Additionally, any member of your organisation will be entitled to attend the Society’s events as if he or she were an individual member, subject to a limit of two people per event and the usual conditions for members.

If you wish to become a corporate member you can now join online through our Apply Online page.
