Chippendale 300 – Commemorative Glass

To celebrate the 300th anniversary of the year of Thomas Chippendale’s birth in 2018, the Chippendale Societchippendale 300 photo[82714] (2)y has commissioned a commemorative numbered edition of specially hand-made and engraved glasses.

Each glass is handmade made from 24% lead crystal by David Wallace and Andrew Sanders at their studio/workshop in Pateley Bridge, Yorkshire. The design is a modern interpretation of an 18th century English glass, made by blowing molten glass and shaping and manipulating it using simple metal and wooden tools in the traditional manner.

Each signed and numbered glass will be engraved with the Chippendale 300 logo and will be presented in a specially-designed, lined presentation box.

Glasses will be offered to members of the Chippendale Society at a special price of £55.00 each plus package and posting of £5 (UK delivery and for a single glass only).

The price to non-members will be £60.00 plus package and posting of £5 (UK delivery and for a single glass only).

Price on application for multiple glasses and/or overseas postage.

Each numbered glass will be dispatched when ready. Alternatively if members wish to save on packing and postage costs they would be welcome to collect their order at the time of the Exhibition launch at Leeds Museum on February 9th 2018.
